Service Description

High Roller Program The High Roller Program is an invitation only level for frequent students. The main perk, is the ability to use The Pot Head Shed’s available “Studio Hours” and rent use of a wheel. Studio hours are time slots that students who have earned “High Roller” status can use to come practice in the studio. Studio Hours slots ($50) are rented in 2 hour increments (90 min. of creation time/30 min prep/clean up). High Rollers can spend their time practicing or creating using their own clay (MUST be fired to cone 5/6 after a cone 04 bisque if being fired on site) and tools. Other than the residential potter, you won’t have to share the throwing space unless you invite them. Other High Rollers or approved plus ones can be added onto the original attendee’s block rental for an additional $25, up to 4 attendees total. Please note that all attendees must have taken a class with Taryn prior and gotten approval. - If you need help purchasing clay, that can be arranged with notice. Clay prices will vary per the clay type. Talk with Taryn. Please note that there is no instruction during studio hours. The potter may or may not also be in the space during your time slot. Glazing sessions may be taking place on the other side of the studio. During your time slot, you are guaranteed use of an available pottery wheel, bats, a towel, and basic throwing tools. PLEASE NOTE: If the potter is not on site, then the rest of the building is locked-including the bathrooms. Plan accordingly! Rules and Tips: -Clean Up: Please leave the space as your found it. You may leave the splash pan filled for the end of day clean out, but please wipe down what you can for the next user. -If anything breaks or occurs out of ordinary during your time in the studio, please alert Taryn immediately at 404-934-4174 -You can ask the radio to play music by starting with “Hey Ziggy, play….” . Ziggy is near the TV. -Please be sure to end your creating early enough to allow to adequately clean and exit the space before the next attendee’s time begins. Ex. If your block ends at 8, then plan to clean up by 7:45.
