ABOUT THE POTTER: Taryn Grace
*17+ years experience*
Taryn began her pottery experience in 2008. She learned under Atlanta potter- Denise Knaggs. Taryn took an opportunity and bought Denise's kiln "Ole Betty". From that, a business venture begun.
While still taking private pottery lessons, Taryn was also completing her coursework to become a Horticulturist and Landscape Designer. She graduated in 2013 and began working at a local nursery until 2017- until she began her own freelance design business. She got to show her artistic side through living landscapes AND ceramics. After graduating, she also began attending more markets and galleries as a selling artist. She sold her wares on weekends and designed landscapes on weekdays. Once having her daughter in 2019- followed by the 2020 pandemic, Taryn switched gears and began giving private lessons in her previous home's she shed studio. In November 2024, she moved nearby to Woodstock for bigger studio space- this time in an old boat garage. Maximizing her space by 300%! She has found she really loves helping people find their path to creativity and watching them grow as potters. Come feel the Peace, Love, and Clay Y'all!
